User receives an error message when attempting to edit a SharePoint Office Suite file, such as Excel, Word, etc.

The issue is caused by a corrupted Office user profile which will need to be rebuild by renaming the OfficeFileCache folder in the location shown below.

Location of folder to be renamed:

C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache

Restart the computer after renaming the file.  Try editing a (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) file from SharePoint, using your local application supporting the file.
